This is the color combo this week over at PPC.  I decided to  use the Create a Critter cartridge again.  I love this bee....I've used him several times...I think these too cute.

I also used my new Scappy Moms Amusing Animals stamps...I am so impressed with these stamps.  It seems that with a lot of the other stamps I have I have a hard time getting a good impression.  Sometimes I have to stamp the image/sentiment several time before I get a nice imprint.  These stamps work perfectly the first time....I'm not sure what the difference is... but I love it.

I ran the bee's wings through the Xyron and added some MS glitter to give them some shimmer.  It is kind of hard to see in the picture but they look cool.  I added some Prima Flowers and some pearls to finish off my card.

SPCC #58 - Fawn-tastic

This is the color combo this week at SPCC. I don't have these exact colors so I just used some paper from my stash that are close.

I cut the little deer from Create A Critter at 3.25.  The patterned background paper is from Martha Stewart and this adorable sentiment stamp is from Scrappy Moms.  I just got my order of Amusing Animal stamps last week and I just love them.  There are so many cute phrases....I can't wait to use some more of them.

I'm also entering this is the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge....At the Zoo.

Cricut Cardz Challenge -

The Cricut Cardz Challenge this week is to make a card using a cake, cupcake, cookies or candy.  I decided to go to one of my older cartridges, Stretch Your Imagination. This was the first cartridges I purchased and I was so excited when I got it.   I cut the cake at 2.75 inches. It sure helps to have the Gypsy for these older cartridges because you can use the hide coutours feature to cut all the layers in the colors you want.   The polka dot paper is from My Mind's Eye, Party Time stack.  I love the colors on this paper, they are so pretty.

Have an Ice Day....wee memories Challenge

The challenge at ...wee memories this week is to incorporate stamping into your project.  I used my Gypsy and Create a Critter to cut this igloo shaped card.  I added some MS glitter to try and give it an icey look.  This adorable little penguin stamp is from 2 Cute Rubber Stamps.  I won this on a blog hop a while back.  The sentiment is from a set of stamps I got from Michael's.  I still need some practice on my cutting and coloring but I think it turned out cute.

....wee memories...Summer Fun Challenge

Jenny over at ...wee memories...is having a Summer Fun challenge this week.  I picked up these adorable K and Company stickers with week at WM so I decided to go with the beach theme.  I cut the sandcaste from Doodlechams, the sand dune from Give a Hoot and the clouds from Create a Critter.  I inked the edges of the sandcastle and the clouds. I think it turned out pretty cute.

Thanks a Bunch - Picture Perfect Creations

This is the color combo over at PPC-CC this week.  I used my Walk in my Garden cartridge to cut this cute flower pot border and the flower stems.  I've been so busy playing with Create a Critter that I forgot how much I love WIMG.  It is a greate cart.

The flowers are Prima and I added some little white pearls in the center.  The patterned background paper is by SEI.  I got this pack on clearance at Michael's. There is some really cool paper in this pack....this one looks like peeling paint.

The sentiment is from a pack of vellum stickers that I've had in my stash for a while.  The colors worked perfectly for this card.

Made by Momo Tuesday Challege

Momo's challenge this week is to create a "Girly" project.  I used my Gypsy to weld the pieces of this cute clutch purse together to make a gift card hold.  I used the remove contours button to take away the little cuts for the flowers. I have made one like this before but I used a printed out template and cut it by hand.  This is so much easier and turned out so much nicer.  The pattern paper I used is by Anna Griffin, Peyton Collection.  I added some pearls along the scalloped edge and some metal accents by making memories.  I like the way it turned out so much that I decided to make a card to go with it.

I used the kitty from Create a Critter along with her accessory pillow.  I did not care for the bow tie that comes with the cat so I trimmed that off and added some ribbon and pearls for a collar.   I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder for the background and some metal tags that read "Happy Birthday".

Cricut Cardz Challenge....card feature

The challenge this week at Cricut Cardz Challenge is to use the card feature on any cartridge.  I used A Child's Year for the card base and floral mat.  This patterned paper is from K and Company.  The center design is cut from Lacy Labels and I added some pearls instead of the final layer.  Since I cut this shape at 3", I was worried about getting the delicate details to cut cleanly.  My stamping in the center turned out a little blotchy but I think it still looks okay.

Bee Hello.....

I've been having a lot of fun playing with the Gypsy.  I made this flower shaped card by welding two Lacy Label shapes together and then using the layer for the red mat.  There are several cute shapes on this cartridge that are perfect for making these shaped cards.    This cutie little bee is from Create a Critter, I cut him at 3.3 inches.  The layered flowers are also from Create a Critter, I used the remove contours to take away the faces.  I cut five layers for each flower and then spritzed them with water and crinkled them up a bit to fluff them up. The sentiment is stamped on to another shape and mat cut from Lacy Labels. The red and blue dotted papers are from Martha Stewart and the rest of the solid papers are from my scrap file. I used my MS score board to make a square envelope for this.   I'm so happy with the way this turned out....this is one of my favorite cards.

Cupcake Card.....PPC and Fantabulous Cricut

This is the color combo at PPC -CC this week.  These colors are so pretty together.  The challenge at Fantabulous Cricut this week is to make a shaped treat card.  I decided to try my first shaped card and combine the two challenges.  I used my new Gypsy to weld the cupcake from Create a Critter and used the hide contour feature to remove the face.   I used the D'vine swirls embossing folder for the top of the cupcake and embossed the lower portion on my MS scoreboard at 1/8" increments.  The tag is cut from Lacy Labels and the sentiment is stamped.   I have a really cute set of cupcake themed stamps that I got at Michael's.  I added pearl sprinkles and some white stitching.  I love the way it turned out....these shaped cards are fun to make.

Hoot, Hoot, Hooray! - SPCC #56

This is the color combo over at SPCC this week.   I had some brown floral K and Company paper in my stash that matched this combo perfectly.  I used the Hoot 'n Holler cartridge (again) to come up with my card.  I cut the owl at 3-1/2" and added some diamond stickles to make her sparkle.  The sentiment is computer generated and punched with a 1" circle punch and the blue flower is cut from Create a Critter.

Snowman Snowglobe....Christmas in July Challenges

I've been having fun trying to figure out the Gypsy and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it.  I made this card for several of the Christmas in July challenges that are going on this week.

At CardzTV we were asked to make a Christmas card using a snowman.  I used the Doodlecharms cartridge to cut the snowglobe (5"), the snow man (2.5) and the snowflakes (1" x 1.5").  I used the Noel seasonal cartridge to cut the "Happy Christmas" on shadow (1").   I got my inspiration for this card from Mary at CardzTV....she made a card using this snowglobe and snowman that was super cute so I thought I'd give it a try.

I'm also going to enter this card in the Cricut Cardz Challenge which is any Christmas card and Paper Cutz Challenge which is a Christmas card without red or green on it.

Look what I got.......

Yay! Look what I got from FedEx this weekend.  I was not planning on getting a Gypsy until maybe at Christmas time but last weekend I was on  Ebay getting something for my hubby so I decided to search for Gypsy.  I am so glad I did....I got this for an unbelievable price.

At first me and my Gypsy were not getting along...I expected to pick it up an immediately start designing some awesome cards.  After a few hours of frustration and a little #?*!, I decided to watch some YouTube videos and that made all the difference.  I think I'm figuring this thing out.  This is the first card I made with it. I stretched the Paper Doll Dressup fence and the Zooballoo grass to  5-1/4" .  This is an awesome feature....previously I would have cut two of the shapes and then overlapped them when I glued them down.  This looks so much cleaner.    I also love that you can see everything on the screen prior to cutting....this will prevent so many mistakes.  Sometimes I guess at what size to cut and then have to recut to get the right size.  I really excited about all the fun things I can try with this.  I plan on trying a shaped card next!

PS-  The little birdie is from Create A Critter and the clouds are from Zooballoo. Pattern Paper is SEI.

Color Throwdown#100

This week at Color Throwdown they are celebrating their 100th color challenge.  I have been following this blog for awhile but have never submitted a card before.  This week they have a ton of give aways to celebrate so I thought I would submit a card.  I used Lacy Labels to cut the scalloped circle and I planned on using this beautiful scalloped medallion stamp in the center.  The stamp matches the scalloped circle perfectly...it would have been so pretty.  After attempting to stamp that thing about 6 times I gave up and went for this "Bliss" stamp.  I think it turned out pretty anyway...I like the way the Cricut cut is similiar to the pattern on the paper.

Made by Momo Tuesday Challenge ,PPC and Wee Memories

This is the color combo this week over PPC.  I used my Hoot n' Holler cartridge to cut another adorable owl.  This cartridge is a lot of fun....there are soooo many cute owls.  I love all of them.  The hearts are also from Hoot n Holler and the glitter dots are left over from Valentine's Day.

I thought this color combo went well with Momo's Tuesday Challenge which is "Love" this week.    I used my Hapton Arts stamp set for the sentiment.

I am also submitting this card for the ...wee memories... "Free for All"challenge  this week.

Pink Stamper's Color Challenge

I hope everyone is having a great July 4th. I have one more card that I did today....this one is for The Pink Stamper's color challenge. The colors are orange, pink, green and brown. I used Hoot n Holler to come up with my card. I think this little owl family is so sweet. I think this color combo worked well for these owls, the only problem was I had to cut them several times to get the layers the way I wanted them. The background paper I used is K and Company and has a couple extra colors in the mix but it is mostly the right colors.

Christmas in July....CardzTV Challenge

Mary over at Cardz TV is have a Christmas in July challenge. The challenge is to make a project using only red, green, pink, black and white.  I've had this striped paper in my stash forever and it is a perfect match for this challenge.  I used the new Cricut Lite Cartridge Hoot and Holler to cut the sentiment and the owl.  This cartridge is so fun!  So many cute owls and fun phrases.  I think these Lite cartridges are going to get me in trouble.  It is so tempting to walk through the scrapbooking aisle when I'm in Wal-Mart getting diapers or whatever.

Moo-Chas Gracias!

This is a card I submitted for The Pink Stampers design team call.  Unfortunately, I did not get selected so I decided to share my card with you guys.   I saw this sentiment a while back on one of Cards Blog galleries and thought it was so cute.

The cow was cut with Create a Critter.  The clouds were cut from Zooballoo and the grass border is from Paper Doll Dress Up.  The sentiment is computer generated.
