Hooray It's Turkey Day! - Cricut Cardz Challenge #48

Hi guys!  This week the challenge at Cricut Cardz Challenge is to make a card for Thanksgiving using the card feature from any cartridge you’d like, and using any colors you’d like.  I decided to use this pretty scallopped card from A Child's Year for my card base.
I cut the turkey from Create a Critter and this pretty tag is from A Child's Year.  I really don't use this cartridge enough, there are so many pretty cuts....I seem to forget about it.  I just love this tag and I was a perfect fit for my Scrappy Moms Stamps sentiment.  This stamp is from The Charmed Life set.  There are so many adorable sentiments on this set....I just love it!  Click HERE to head on over to Cricut Cardz Challenge to play along with this week's challenge.

PPC #36

Good Morning everyone!  This is my last week as guest designer over at Picture Perfect Creations.  I have so much fun working with these beautiful color combos.  Here is the color combo for this week's challenge...
I have to admit...this one was pretty difficult for me! I finally decided on a Halloween card. I have been wanting to cut this witch's shoe from Happy Haunting and thought these color would be perfect.

The Trick or Treat is also cut from Happy Hauntings.  Click HERE to head on over to PPC to play along with this fun color challenge.

Paper Playtime #22

This week our challenge over at Paper Playtime is to make a Halloween project.   The design team members were give some adorable digis to work with from The Stamping Boutique.  I really love this little vampire.

I know, I need to improve my coloring skills but I still think this turned out super cute.  I colored him using my Martha Stewart colored pencils and then cut the ovals using my Nestabilities.  The green/black backround paper is from a Martha Stewart Halloween paper pack.  The sentiment stamp is from Michaels and it actually reads "Frankly, I love Halloween" and it has a Frankenstein image but I masked part of it off.  Click HERE to head on over to Paper Playtime to play along with us!

The Cricut Cardz Challenge this week is anything goes.  I picked up this adorable paper pack at Michael's a few weeks ago called The Sweet Stack by DCWV.  I loved this cute fruit paper so I decided on this sweet little apple from Create A Critter.  I cut it as 2-3/4" out of some rose glitter paper from my stash.  I used my Scrappy Moms stamps and this cute apple ribbon I found a while back in the Target dollar bin.

Picture Perfect Creations #34

This is my second post for today....scroll down for Paper Playtime.
I would like to say "hello" to all my new followers.  The Blog Hop yesterday was a lot of fun.  I will choose a candy winner on Thursday.
I am a Guest Designer for Picture Perfect Creations for October.  Here is the color combo for this week's challenge.

I didn't have the exact colors so I used my newest paper is from My Mind's Eye and is called O Christmas Tree.

I cut this cute tree from Winter Frolic and added some pearls instead of the ornaments that the Criucut cut.  I printed the sentiment with the computer and used my Nestabilities to cut it out.  I also added some sheer ribbon (I'm addicted to this ribbon right now) to finish off my card.

This challenge had me stumped for a while but I love the way this card turned out.

Paper Playtime #20 -

This week at Paper Playtime the challenge is to create a project with orange as your main color.

I used the shadow feature to make this shaped pumpkin card from Create a Critter.  I used the  hide contours feature on my Gypsy to remove the little face.   I added some leaves from a canister of Prima Flowers, some twine and I stamped the "Happy Thanksgiving" from a set I got in the Michael's dollar bin.  The oragne polka dot paper is by K and Co. (my favorite paper).
Head on over to Paper Playtime to play along with this fun challenge.

This week's prize is the Summer in Paris cartridge....thanks Sheree at Cravin' Scrappin for sponsoring this week's challenge.

Blog Makeover

Hi everyone!  I hope you guys are all having a great weekend!  I'm so excited about my new blog design.  Isn't it cute!  When I first got my Cricut and started the blog I had a hard time coming up with a name.  I decided on bug lover as a play on words....since I love my Cricut and Cuttlebug.  I also love taking pictures of bugs with my macro lens and DLSR so I thought it would be fun if my blog had bugs.  I came across Laura Jane Designs while blog hopping one day and just love her work.  Her prices are super reasonable and she was great to work with.   She does scrapbooking designs and simple designs and can also do ETSY makeovers.  Click here to go check her out!  You won't be disappointed.
