Cupcake Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Cupcake Blog Hop!  I'm so excited to be part of this hop....all the projects you see today will be cupcake related.  If you arrived here from Sharon's blog, then you are on the right track.  If you just stopped by for a visit, click here to start at the beginning.

I have two projects to show you today.

For my card, I used a standard A2 card base.  The cupcake is from Once Upon a Princess and is cut at 3.5".  There is a face on this cupcake in the handbook, but I left it off.  I added some adhesive pearls for "sprinkles" and a tulle bow.  The paper is from the Sweet Stack from DCWV.

For my little treat/gift bag.  I used a pre-made gift bag from Dollar Tree.  These come in a pack of 12 for a $1.  I added some brown cardstock and pattern paper to match my card.  I cut the same cupcake at 3"h.  The tag is also from Once Upon a Princess and the sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Stamps - Sweet Somethings set.  This is a pretty simple project but I think it turned out really cute.  These little bags would be great for a small gift like earrings or would be perfect goodie bags.

Now....it wouldn't be a hop without some BLOG CANDY!!!!.  I am giving away the set of Scrappy Moms stamps I used for my project.

Fun in the Sun Banner and Some Annoucements

Hi everyone!  Sorry I have been MIA this week.  My grandmother passed away last Friday and I just haven't been crafting much this week.  I did want to share a fun project I made yesterday, I going to enter this in the Cricut Circle Blog Monthly Challenge.

I used Birthday Bash for the ovals, Country Life for the font, and Simply charmed for the sun, pail and beach ball.  I think it turned out really cute!

I also wanted to let you guys know that I will be in a fun hop this weekend that is all about cupcakes.  You will find some awesome projects along the way and some blog candy!

Scrappy Moms Stamps - Terrific Tuesday Challenge

It's time for a Scrappy Moms Tuesday Challenge.  This week we get to use Create a Critter!  Woo Hoo!  I know many of you guys love this cartridge as much as I do so I know we are going to see a ton of awesome cards this week.   I decided on the little hedgehog...I think this little critter is adorable!

I cut the hedgehog at 2.25" and the pattern paper is from K and Company.  I used the new Scrappy Moms Stamps set - Furry Friends for the sentiment.  We can't wait to see what you come up with...click here to link up your project.

Furry Friends Sneak Peak - Love Ewe

Hi everyone!  Today I have another cute card I made with the new Scrappy Moms Stamps set - Furry Friends.  This is the cutest set and works great with all your animal cuts.

Flaunt It Fridays #12 - Forever Young

Good Morning!  This week our challenge at Flaunt it Fridays is to create a project with the
FORVER YOUNG cartridge and the cut choice this week is Model 1, Emblem (Silhouette feature) on Page 24.  I don't have Forever Young so I used Gypsy Wandering for my silhouette.

I used Lacy Labels for my tag and Wrap it Up for the bag.  The stamps is from Scrappy Moms.  The pattern paper is the DCWV - All Dressed Up stack.  We can't wait to see how you flaunt this cut....click here to see all the aweome inspiration from the design team and to link up your project!

Furry Friends - Keep your Fin Up

Hi everyone!  I'm back with another card I made with the new Scrappy Moms set - Furry Friends.  These stamps are just awesome!

I used my Gypsy to weld two shadow layers of the fish bowl from Create a Critter.  I used my Cuttlebug to ads some textures to all the layers.

I added some of the new twine from Scrappy Moms to finish off my cute card.  The design team has some great inspiration for you using this new set. You can find links to their blogs on my side bar.

Cricut Cardz # 62 - Cup of Cheer

Hi everyone!  It is time for this week's Cricut Cardz Challenge.  This week our challenge it to create a card with a cup image on it.

I used Birthday Bash for my card base and circle layers.  The cup is from Winter Frolic...I cut it at 4"h but left off the steam that comes with the cut.  All the paper on this card (except for the white) is from the SEI Oasis stack.  I recently found this at Michael's on clearance and was going to give it as blog candy but it is so beautiful I had to keep it for myself!  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.  Click here to head over to Cricut Cardz Challenge to see all the awesome design team project and to link up you projects.

Paper Playtime #38 - Animal Print

Hi everyone!  I hope you guys all had a woderful weekend.  This week's our challenge is to make a project using animal print.  I have been looking forward to this one because I have some really cool animal print paper.  I made a card and matching gift card holder.

For my card, I cut the labels from Lacy Labels and the flower from Paisley.  I cut 3 layers and layered them together with pop dots and and added a metal charm in the center.  The gift card is a purse from Paisely.  I welded the base and the top layter to create the fold and added a velcro dot closure.  The seniment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.  This project went together really quickly but turned out so cute!  We can't wait to see you animal print projects....click here to link up at Paper Playtime!

My Vintage Valentine Blog Hop

This hop is all about vintage so I had to think outside my usual box.  I  headed out to Michael's to find some vintage inspiration.  I picked a beautiful piece of paper from Creative Imaginations and some Tim Holtz locks and keys.

 For my card base, I welded two scallop rectangle from Sugar and Spice at 5.5"w.  I cut my hearts from Sweethearts out of ivory cardstock and then used Tim Holtz distress inks to achieve this color.  I used a combination of fired brick, frayed burlap and antique linen.  I added a piece of lace out of my MIL's stash and the lock and key.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Stamps - Love Notes set.  I stamped it in brown and then heat embossed with clear poweder and then added the distress inks on top.

I think it turned out so pretty....a little different for mel but so much fun to make.

Now....I have a little BLOG CANDY!!!!

Flaunt It Fridays - Paper Doll Dress Up Blog Hop

Raggedy Ann and / or Raggedy Andy cut on page 36 and 37. 

I decided to do a Valentine's Day theme for my project.  I altered a composition notebook.  I stocked up on these during the back to school sales when they were only .25. 

I cut the paper dolls at 3.75 inches. The heart and striped paper are K and Company - Ka-Zoo and the polka dot paper is from DCWV - All Dressed Up.   I used my new PK Princess faces for the little girl and the little boy's face is from my PK Critter Faces.

For my second project, we were asked to use any cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge.  I decided to make a banner.  I used the shamrock from page 40. I love making these...they go together quickly and are so pretty!

I cut the panels from Lacy Labels....the kraft layer is cut at 5.15" and the pattern paper layer is cut at 4.75".  The letters are from Country Life at 3.80" and the shamrocks are cut at 3.45".

Scrappy Moms Stamps - Terrific Tuesdays

Erika asked us to make a project based on a Beatles song....I searched through ITunes and found out that the Beatles have a song called "Rocky Raccoon" so that is the inspiration for my card.

 I cut my card base at 5-1/4" x 5-1/4".  This adorable little raccoon is from Create a Critter, I cut it at 3"h.  I am in love with this cute label shape from Twinkle Toes.  I used pattern papers from the DCWV All Dressed Up stack.  The sentiment is from Scrappy Moms Stamps.

Nicole and Meighen's Bday/ Bloggerversary Bash

If you arrived here from Jessica's blog, then you are in the right spot!  If you just stopped by for a visit, click here to start at the beginning.  I am so excited to be included in this hop.  All of the designers are super talented so you are sure to be inspired and there will even be some BLOG CANDY along the way!  Nicole and Meighen asked us to make holiday inspired birthday project.  My twins were born on May 5 so I chose Cinco de Mayo as my holiday.  I have two projects to share with you today.

I was inspired by Jingle to alter a brown paper bag. We always have a piñata at our birthday parties and this donkey from the Birthday Bash cartridge looks just like one.

These colorful papers are from Martha Stewart.  I trimmed the bag down to 9" tall and used my MS doiley lace punch on the top edge. I cut the blue paper at 5-1/2"h x 4-1/2"w and the striped paper at 2"h x 4-1/2".  I  used my ATG gun to ahere the striped layer behind the blue layer leaving 1-1/2" showing. I cut the donkey at 3.75" and added some felt ric rac from my stash.  These would be a great way for the kids to take home the goodies they get from the piñata.

For my second project, I used the Birthday Bash to make a quick banner.  The pre-designed banners on this cart go together really fast.  I cut the banner at 5.09" and the letters at 3.75".  I had a hard time getting pictures of my banner....it looks better in person!

The donkey and monkey are both cut at 3.75
