New Year's Thank You Card Blog Hop!

Good Morning and welcome to the New Year's Thank You Card Blog Hop! If you came from Martha's blog, then you are in the right spot.

This blog hop is intended to help you get ideas for  Thank You Cards.  It seems like I always need Thank You cards and I'm sure we all have a few to send right after the holiday season. There will be opportunities to win some blog candy or get ideas to help you with your New Year’s Resolutions!  So sit back, and enjoy the hop!

I have two cards to show you today!

I welded two scallopped rectagles from Sugar and Spice to create my card base.  The banner and font are from Birhday Bash.  The banner is cut at .85" and the font and .40".  I was so impressed with how well this font cut at such a small size.....I think it helps that the letters are pretty bold.  The little bird is from Create a Critter and is cut at 1.8"h.  I finished my card of with a Prima flower and some chip board hearts from my Stash. 

My second card is also made using Birthday Bash....I'm really starting to love this cartridge.

I cut this happy little elephant at 3" and used my Scrappy Moms Stamps Amusing Aminals set for the sentiment.  I cut the shape at the sentiment is stamped on from Lacy Labels and adhere it behind my polka dot mat so only the edge is showing.  It is embossed with the Swiss Dot folder.

Paper Playtime #31 - New Year's

Good Morning!  I hope eveyone had a wonderful Christmas!  We did but we are a little worn out from being on the go all weekend.  This week the challenge at Paper Playtime is to make a New Year's project.  I used my Simply Charmed cartridge to cut this cute champagne bottle and glass.  I used my Gypsy to hide their faces.

Scrappy Moms Sneak Peek #3

Hi everyone!  I'm back again with another sneak peek of the new Scrappy Moms Stamps set - Designer's Choice. This time I used my Give A Hoot cartridge to cut this cute huggable little bear.  I used my PK Critter faces to stamps his face.

All the sentiments on this set were submitted by the design team and Scrappy Moms is giving everyone the chance to win free a free stamp set! We thought it would be fun to have a little contest for all of our WONDERFUL followers! This wees the our challenge at Paper Playtime is to make anything Christmas.  I am still working on gettin my gift wrapping finished up so I decided on some gift tags.  These were quick and easy to make but really look pretty on the package. 

I cut the tag from Winter Frolic at 3" and inked the edges.  The Poinsetta is from Making Memories.  I found these earlier in the year on clearance at Michael's and then found some more at Big Lots.  They were only .50 a package so I had several packages of them.  Stamps is from Scrappy Moms Winter Wishes set.

I know this is going to be hard to believe, but I made a card without the Cricut!  I used this beautiful Prima flower and some ribbon for a stem. 

This was a super simple card to make but I think it turned out really pretty.  The polka dot paper is from the  My Mind's Eye - Wonderful Winter pack. For my birthday card I used Birthday Bash to cut this adorable balloon toting birdie.  I'm loving this cartridge...a must have if you make a lot of birthday projects.  I used my Peachy Keen Critter Faces to stamp the bird's face. I have had my PK stamps for a while now and just haven't used them enough. I'm definitely going to be using them a lot more....I love the way this bird turned out!

Paper Playtime # 29 - Snowman Challenge

Hi everyone! I hope you guys all had a nice weekend. Thanks so much to all of you who hopped with us this weekend. I will post a winner for my blog candy tomorrow. Stocking Stuffers Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the "Ideas for Stocking Stuffers"  Blog Hop!

For my project, I decided to do a "Birthday Book".  This mini album has a place to keep track of all your friends and family members birthdays and a place to store a few cards.  We have a large family and lot of birthdays to keep track of.  I thought this would be a great way to keep everything in one place.

I used the tabs feature on the From my Kitchen cartridge to cut the pages.  I like the top note look on the tabs.  I de-selected the aspect ratio link on my Gypsy to make these 7" x 7".  I cut them out of kraft cardstock first and them glued my pattern paper to either side.  I went a little over board with this....if you wanted to make this project a little faster, you could just cut rectangle pages and do everything on your paper trimmer.  For the calendar portion,  I just printed that out from Microsoft Excel and them trimmed and matted each one.

I then cut a variety of birthday themed Cricut cuts to decorate each page.  All the pattern papers are from the DCWV Summer's Dream pack.  This made it really easy to coordinate everything.    If you are interested in the details of any (or all) of these cuts...let me know and I will post them in a follow up.  I don't want this post to go on forever!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #54

Hi everyone!  This week's challenge  at Cricut Cardz Challenge is to make a CIRCLE shaped Christmas card without RED or GREEN.  I used Birthday Bash for my card base....this cartridge has some great shaped cards on it!.  My gingerbread house is from Wrap It Up.  My used DCWV glitter paper to add some sparkle.

The sentiment from the Scrappy Moms Stamps set Winter Wishes and of course, I had to had my favorite sheer ribbon.  I love the way it turned out! The rest of Design Teams 1 has some amazing inspiration for you so head on over to CCC to play along.

Paper Playtime #28 - Snowflakes

Good Morning!  We are finally getting some cold weather here and it's starting to feel more like Christmas.

This week the challenge at Paper Playtime is to create a project using SNOWFLAKES.  My first project is a card I made using Birthday Bash for the card base and Christmas for the snowflake.

The paper is from K and Company and the stamps is from the Scrappy Moms Stamps set Winter Wishes.

My second project is some adorable boxes cut from the Wrap it Up cartridge.  Melanie over at Everyday Cricut featured this box a couple days ago and I decided to try it out.   I sometimes get stuck on making cards all the time and forget about the other cool features on some these cartridges.
