Really Reasonable Ribbon - Heart Garland

Happy New Year!  I can't believe how quickly this year went by!  I jumped forward to my favorite crafty holiday.....Valentine's Day!  I made a quick and easy heart garland using this beautiful black satin ribbon from

For my garland, I cut hearts from the Sweethearts Cartridge at 3.5"h.

This pattern paper is Echo Park "Be Mine".  This is last year's collection and I recently found it at Hobby Lobby for $10.  I was so suprised to see it there!

I inked the edges with Tim Holtz "Soot" distress ink and then puched holes with the Big Bite and threaded the satin ribbon through.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I hope to get back to my regular posting schedule now that the holidays are winding down!

My Favorite Projects from 2011

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a Merry Christmas!  Sorry I haven't posted anything in a few days....we've had family in town and I haven't spent much time in my craft room.  I promise things will get back to normal after the New Year and I'll be posting lots of fun new stuff!

My friend Kellie is hosting a linky party asking everyone to post their 10 favorite projects from 2011.
I decided to post my 11 favorites......here they are.

I love the way this cake turned out!  I cut it with the Cricut but used the Gypsy to hide all the little cuts so I could add my own embellies.  The litlle flower are from the Mother's Day Bouquet cartridge.

This is the same cake in different colors....love these DCWV papers.

Cosmo Cricket paper with a die cut corn from Country Life.  The scrabble tiles really make this card fun.  I had been dying to use them on something!

A cute apple card using Doodlecharms and K and Company paper.

I love the way this ribbon topiary turned out.  So festive!

This cool chair is from the Cricut Love you a Latte cartridge.

I love the Crate Paper - Farmhouse collection.  The apple is from Create a Critter....I used hide contours to get rid of the face.

Crate Paper - Farmhouse again....such pretty paper!
The blender is off the From my Kitchen cartridge and the paper is Happy Days from Echo Park.

This was my first design team project for Lori Whitlock.  Everything was cut on the Silhouette using her SVG files. This looks so much better in person...the wreath is really beautiful.

Head on over to Kellie's blog and link up!  It's really fun to look back on the year and see all the projects.

Purse Gift Card Holder

Hi everyone!  I wanted to show you this awesome little purse gift card holder I made.  I have several gift cards to give this year so I've been making some pretty ways to package them.  This sliding gift card holder is from Lori Whitlock.  When you open the top the gift cards slides up....so cute!

I made it super simple and cut the purse out of white metallic cardstock and added a little rosette and handle made from shimmer satin gold ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.    I think it turned out so cute and it was easy to make.

Scrappy Moms Stamps - Terrific Tuesday Challenge

Hi everyone!  I hope you guys are all having a great week.  I have to go out shopping one more time  to pick up the last few things on my list.  Hopefully, I can find what I need.  Every year I say I won't wait until the last minute but here I am again, lol!

Our challenge this week over at Scrappy Moms Stamps is to create a project using a bag.  You can use any bag on your project.  For my project to day I made a card/gift card holder using the new Bitty Bags that Scrappy Moms has available.  They are super cute.

The tag and penquin are SVG files from Lori Whitlock.  I attached my gift card to the tag.

These little bags are so cute and will work for all types of projects.  They make awesome treat bags and quick gift wraps.  I am using one to wrap up a little flashflight we got my hubby for Christmas.

Head on over to Scrappy Moms to check out the rest of the design projects and link up yours!

KinderStampo Christmas Ornament Blog Hop

Welcome to KinderStampo's Christmas Ornament Blog Hop.  You should have arrived from Elisa's blog.  If you just stopped by for a visit, click here to start at the beginning.  Jess asked us to make an ornament for this hop.  I saw this ornament idea and knew I wanted to try one.  I have been hoarding scrabble tiles for a while now and this was the perfect thing to use them for.

I cut a book mark shape out of chipboard from the Sophie cartridge using hide contours to get rid of the Christmas tree.  This is basically just a rectangle but I like the little rounded edges.  You could easily just do this on the paper trimmer.  I cut two matching pieces for the front and back of the chipboard out of green glitter paper.
I hot glued the wire hanger to the chipboard before glueing on the green paper so the back would be nice and clean.
Then I just hot glued on my scrabble tiles and bow.  The beautiful striped ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

This is was super simple to put together and would be awesome on top of a Christmas package in place of the bow.  You could spell out the person's name and then they would also have a pretty ornament.

BLOG CANDY!

SVG Attic Design Team Day

Happy Friday everyone!  I can't believe it's one week until Christmas!  I still feel like I have a lot of things to get finished up....like shopping and wrapping.  I am giving several gift cards this year so I decided on a gift card holder for my project today.

I used the one of the newest set from SVG Attic - O Christmas Tree.

The pattern paper is from Echo Park.  I cut the Christmas tree 3 times and scored it down the middle to get this 3d look and added some gems for ornaments.  I love it!  So bright and cheery but so simple to assemble.

Really Reasonable Ribbon - Recipe Exchange

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a fabulous weekend! It's cold and wet here so it's a perfect weekend for baking and craftting!  This week over at Really Reasonable Ribbon we are sharing some of our favorite recipes and food packaging ideas.
I have a simple but delicous recipe to share with you. These are perfect for a last minute gift because they only take a few minutes to make.

Ingredients:
1 package dark chocolate chips
2/3 cup dry roasted peanuts
3 cups chow main noodles

Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave and then add nuts and noodles. Stir until well coated.

Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper and let them set. You can put them in the refrigerator to speed things up.

So simple but soooo yummy!

To package them, I used a little paint can that previously held some Prima Flowers.

The lid on this can has a scalloped edge with holes punched in it. I used some beautiful Ruby Red satin ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon to weave in and out of the holes and then tied a bow. I think it's the perfect touch to this little gift.  I know my kids' teacher would love this.

Head on over to the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog to check out all the other great recipes.  I can't wait to try them...they all look fabulous!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
