Really Reasonable Ribbon - Money Holder

Hi  everyone!    I'm up today on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.
As I mentioned yesterday, we have lots of graduation parties coming up in June so I'm busy making ways to give out some cash.
You guys may have seen this cute money holder that I made with my Silhouette but I thought it would be fun to design one that didn't require a die cutting machine.

So here is a simple tutuorial on how to make a quick money envelope with cardstock and your score board.

Don't worry, I plan to give the graduates more than $1, lol!

This step creates the pocket that will hold the money.
To make the little twine tassel....I wrapped some twine around my Bow Easy and then tied another piece around the upper portion.  I trimmed above and below the tied portion to create the fringe.
I embellished my envelope with some Echo Park - Note to Self paper and a strip of totally twill ribbon and a  graduation cap cut from the Cricut Wrap it Up cartridge at 1-1/2"h.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Lori Whitlock Design Team Day - Shaker Box

This is my second post for today....click here for Cricut Cardz Challenge

I'm back again with two super cute projects with Lori Whitlock files. I think this first project would be perfect for a little teacher gift.  I'll probably fill the little box with some candy and have the kids write a note inside the card.

I used the Shaker Box file to make this adorable little box.  It's so fun....you can put confetti, beads, buttons or whatever you like in the lid.  I cut a bunch of 5 petal flowers to put in mine.  I ran them through the Zyron and then sprinkled them with glitter.

I used this scallop label to form my base for my mini card.  I added a sticker from the Echo Park - Hello Summer Collection and this cute little butterfly.

My second project is all about graduation parties....we have at least 6 in the next few weeks!  We will be giving cash at all of them so I wanted a pretty way to package the money.   I cut this money card holder from Echo Park's - Hello Summer Collection and embellished with this hat and phrase.  Our school color are orange and black....it can be a little hard to make something without it looking like Halloween but I'm happy with the way this turned out.

This fabulous chevron ribbon is the perfect finishing touch.  I want this ribbon is every color.

Lori Whitlock just added some amazing new files to her shop.  Be sure to go check them out!

Cricut Cardz Challenge - You Did It!

It's time for a new Cricut Cardz Challenge.  Our challnege this week is You Did It....Make a Graduation card using any colors or cartridge.

Here's my card...

I used Lacy Labels for my shaped mats.  The little "diploma" is a rolled up piece of dictionary paper tied with a piece of brown seam binding from Really Reasonable Ribbon.
The pattern papers and the header piece are from Echo Park - Note to Self and the sentiment is from the

Here is my project...

I used MME pattern paper and the Cricut Garden Soup Cartridge to create  my card and box.  I used my Gypsy to weld the shadow layer on the bee hive to create the card base.  The original cut has layers but I wanted to show off this fabulous paper so I used the hide contour feature to get rid of them.
