Unofficial Crop Chocolate Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the  Unofficial Crop Chocolate Blog Hop.  Some of the talented crafters who love Crop Chocolate decided to get together for a fun hop.  In case you don't know about Crop Chocolate....it is a website that offers a couple of really great deals on awesome paper crafting supplies each day.  What I love about it, is that you can hold all the items in your cart until your ready to check out.
For my project today, I used the Dots and Stripes paper from Echo Park that I recently purchased from CC.

I cut the starts from the the Gypsy cartridge and the hexagon shapes from Winter Woodland.  I used hide contours to hide all the snowflake cuts.  This font is from Nate's ABCs.

I also made this fun ribbon topiary....well it's supposed to be a topiary but I left off the stick.  I just hot glued it to the terra cotta pot.  I've found several tutuorial on the web and picked up all the stuff at Michaels yesterday.  All you do in cut strips of ribbon at 4" and the make the strips in to circles....I glued the ends together to form the circle.  Then you use straight pins to stick them to the styrofoam ball.  Really simple and fun to make.

Your next stop on the hop is http://engineeringmemories.blogspot.com/.  Make sure to visit all the stops on the hop for a chance to win some candy from our hostess.

I also have some of my Crop Chocolate goodies to share.  Make sure your a follower and leave a comment on this post for a chance to win some Alphas, Stickers and some paper.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Scrappy Moms Sneak Peek #2 - Welcome Home

Hi everyone!  I hope you guys are all having a nice weekend.  We are busy here at our house getting my daughter ready for camp.  She goes tomorrow and this is her first year.  I'm not sure who is more nervous....her or me.  I've never been away from  my kids for more than a couple of nights.  I'm hoping for a quick and tearless good-bye tomorrow when we drop her off.....at least until we drive away and then I can cry!

I have a simple card I made with the new Scrappy Moms Stamps set Yankee Doodle Dandy.  These  are awesome and just in time for all your 4th of July projects!

I cut this pretty tree from Just Because at 11" and trimmed off the swing.  I used my D'vine Swirls embossing folder for the top and added a yellow bow.   The hill is part of an oval from George and Basic Shapes.   This card is super simple but I think it's cute.

The second new release for June is called Good Eats.....
I love every single single one of these.  I'll be back tomorrow with a card using this set.
Scrappy Moms is offering FREE SHIPPING from now until June 30th....so head on over to place your order today!
The Design Team will be featuring new projects with these sets all week.....be sure to check them out.

And our Guest Designer this month, Sandra.

My card today was inspired by a card I saw over at my friend Sharon's blog.

I used Lacy Labels for the shaped mat, George and Basic Shapes for the oval, Create a Critter for the water, crab and star fish.  The clouds are punched with my new Fiskars cloud punch....I love it!

Paper Playtime #36 - Anything Goes

Hi everyone!  I hope you guys all had a great weekend.  We had some amazing weather here ...yesterday it was about 75 and so sunny. We had a great day outside.  This week's challenge at Paper Playtime is Anything Goes!  It is also the first time for a new feature at Paper Playtime....the last Monday of each month will be Digi Mondays!  All the Queens were given some adorable digital images to work with this week and our Sponsors will be offering some great prizes.

I used this adorable little birdie form Doodle Pantry.  This image was pre-colored which makes it so easy to put together a cute card really quickly.

My card is 5-1/4" square and I shaped the corners with my corner rounder. This pretty polka dot background paper is from SEI.  I found several pretty SEI paper pads at Big Lot for $5 last week.  The label is from Lacy Labels.  I printed my image on white cardstock and then centered my bird on the center of my Cricut Mat.  Then using my Gypsy, I lined up my label on the center point of the mat to cut around the bird.    For the sentiment, I printed it out and then punched it out with 1" circle punch.  The orange circle is from George and Basic Shapes.  Head on over to Paper Playtime, to see all the beautiful projects that the Queens have for you. You'll definitely want to play along this week for a chance to win some of these great images.

God Bless America

This is the sketch the Mojo Monday sketch this week.  I decided to used this sketch and the Red, White and Blue color combo challenge from ...wee memories to come up with my card.  The pattern papers are from K and Company.  I just love all their paper packs.  This card also fits the  Paper Cutz Challenge this week.  We were asked to use a sqare, circle or star on our project.  This star was cut with George and basic shapes,  the white scalloped circle was cut with Lacy Labels.

Floral Thank You

Here is one other card I made this week. I submitted this for the Cards Blog floral paper challenge. This pretty floral paper is from The Paper Studio, Pink Armadillo stack. I made this layered flower using the accessory flower on page 62 of the Create a Critter cartridge. I stamped and heat embossed the "thank you" on a blossom shape from George. This is a pretty simple card but I love the way it turned out.

Cricutters Anonymous 33 and Mojo Monday 135

The challenge at Cricutters Anonymous this week is to make a Spring card so I used the Mojo Monday sketch and this is what I came up with. These cute patterned papers are from a K & Company mat pad called "Citronella". I used George to cut the flowers, WIMG to cut the stems, Just Because to cut the white shaped mat and Give a Hoot to cut the scalloped charm. I love the way this turned out...these color are so bright and happy.

Paper Cutz Challenge #36

The Paper Cutz Challenge this week is to make a project using three patterned papers. I used the butterfly from Create A Critter to come up with this Mother's Day card. The sentiment is from a pack of rub ons and the oval is cut from George. I ran my background mats thru the Cuttlebug to give it some texture. I love the colors on this...these papers are from a mat stack from My Mind's Eye Home.
I don't know why I'm addicted to butterflies right now but I will try to make my next few cards without them.

Mojo Monday 131

Here is a card I made for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge this week. The papers I used are from a pack from The Paper Studio called Pink Armadillo. There are some really pretty papers in this pack. The flowers are from a large canister of assorted Prima flowers. I cut the oval with the George cartridge. I think it turned out really pretty.
