Buggy for Birthday Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the Buggy for Birthdays Blog Hop.  I am hosting this fun hop today to celebrate my birthday that's coming up later in the week.    A lot of my design team friends are joining in on the fun with me.

We have some great prizes for you today hosted by Scrappy Moms, Paper Issues and Me!

For my project today I made a fun "buggy" banner using the Country Drive Collection by Echo Park.

The banner is from the Birthday Bash cartridge.  I love making these banners because the holes are punched and they go together very quickly.

I cut the square mat from Elegant Edges and then embossed it with the cuttlebug D'vine Swirls folder. The little bugs are from Walk in my Garden, Doodlecharms and Create a Critter.
Now for the BLOG CANDY!

Butteflies and Blogs Blog Hop!

Happy Birthday, Laura!
Welcome to the Butterflies & Blogs Blog Hop hosted by Laura at Makin Pretty Things!
I so excited to participate in this hop....Laura has put together an amazing lineup of talented designers.
You should have arrived from Pam's blog , if you just stopped by to visit click here to start at the beginning.

As you can probably guess by the name of the hop, we all have butterflies in our projects.  This is great for me because I love butterflies.
For my card, I used Birthday Bash for the card base.  I cut the base at 5.25"h.  The flower is from Walk in My Garden at 2.5 and the butterfly is from Straight from the Nest at 2.65.  The grid background paper and the glitter paper on the butterfly are both from DCWV.
The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms set - All in the Family.  I love this butterfly....so pretty!

I  made a little gift bag from coordinating DCWV paper.

I cut the bag from Once Upon a Princess.  I rotated it to the diagonal on my mat so I could cut it as large as possible....sorry, I forgot to write this down.   I cut the flower at 2.25 and the butterfly at 2.5.

I guess this gift bag would be for a tiny gift....maybe jewelry....or a gift card to your favorite craft store.
I have some BLOG CANDY!!!
Please make sure you're a follower and leave me a comment on this post for a chance to win a $10 gift card to either Michael's or Joann.

Thanks so much for stopping by....your next stop is Paula!

Paper Playtime #35 & Scrappy Moms Love Notes Sneak Peek #3

Good morning!  This week our challenge at Paper Playtime is to make a project that is party related.  I decided to get a head start on some Valentine's Day treat bags for my twins class party.
I cut the base for my treat bag topper from Just Because cards.  I used the "relative true size" button on my Gypsy (the button with the a) to make my card base 4"h x 5.5"w.   I cut the little lady bug from Walk in my Garden at 1.75.  I changed her spots to hearts...I think it makes her so pretty!  This cut is great for projects with large quanities because it goes together really fast. To get her colors to work out you have to cut an extra layer in red, hiding all the spots on that cut.   I used the newly released Scrappy Moms Set - Love Notes for the sentiment.  This adorable new stamp set is availabe for pre-order now so be sure to head on over to get your set now.
You will love all the awesome party project the Paper Playtime Queens have for you this week!  Click here to head on over to check them out and to play along with us!  We can't wait to see what you come up with!

KinderStampO's 34 Birthday Balloons and Counting Blog Hop

Happy Birthday, Jess!
Welcome to KinderStampO's 34 Birthday Candles and Counting Blog Hop. Today you will see at least 40 birthday inspired projects from over 40 talented designers.  I'm so excited to be part of this hop. If you arrive from Christine's blog then you are in the right place. If you just stopped by for a visit, then click here to start from the beginning.

I have two projects to show you.
For this super simple birthday invitation, I cut the scallop rectangle from the Cricut Lite Sugar and Spice cartridge at 5.25 w.  I wanted the invite to fit in a standard A2 envelope.   I used Microsoft Publisher to print the info, trimmed the cardstock to fit and used my corner rounder to shape the corners.  I cut the two ladybugs from Walk in my Garden at 1". The pink organdy ribbon came from the JoAnn's bargain bin.

I saw the idea for this treat box over at Chic'n Stratch .  She makes a box like this using a Big Shot die.
I don't have a Big Shotso I created a similiar box on my Cricut.  I don't want this post to get too long....so I will share a tutorial on how to make this little box along with my Gypsy file on the post below.

Now, it wouldn't be a hop without a little BLOG CANDY!  Please become a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a  Pink Xyron X.

I will use Random.org to pick a winner on Tuesday.  Your next stop is Cristina, hop on over to see her fabulous project!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #40

The Cricut Cardz Challenge this week is to make a card using scalloped circle, ovals, squares or rectangles.  You may use any cartridges or theme you'd like.  I used my Gypsy to weld two scalloped rectangles from the Cricut Lite Cart. Sugar and Spice for my card base. The clouds and grass  are from Zooballoo and the hills are from Give a Hoot.  The butterfly and flowers are from Create a Critter and the flower stems are from Walk in my Garden.  Wow!  That may be a record for me... 5 cartridges for one card.   I added another butterfly to the inside to dress it up a little.  Click here to hop over to Cricut Cardz Challenge to play along with this week's challenge.

Thanks a Bunch - Picture Perfect Creations

This is the color combo over at PPC-CC this week.  I used my Walk in my Garden cartridge to cut this cute flower pot border and the flower stems.  I've been so busy playing with Create a Critter that I forgot how much I love WIMG.  It is a greate cart.

The flowers are Prima and I added some little white pearls in the center.  The patterned background paper is by SEI.  I got this pack on clearance at Michael's. There is some really cool paper in this pack....this one looks like peeling paint.

The sentiment is from a pack of vellum stickers that I've had in my stash for a while.  The colors worked perfectly for this card.

PPC-CC #14

This is the color combo over at Picture Perfect Creations this week. I was having a little trouble with this combo at first, I could not figure out how to make this green work with the blue and pink. I finally decided on this tree from Give a Hoot. I love these Martha Stewart wood grain papers. The tulips are from Walk in my Garden and the little bird is also from Give a Hoot. The little flowers the bird is holding was difficult to glue....but I think it turned out pretty cute.

I decided to use this pretty pink and green floral paper from a MS pack that I have had for a while. The flower is the star flower from Walk in my Garden. I used a pale pink pearl brad in the center.

PPC #45 and Paper Cutz Challenge #38

Here is the color combo for PPC this week. I used colors that are close from my stash to come up with my card.

This week the Paper Cutz Challenge is to make a Mother's Day card. I cut the shaped mat with my Just Because cartridge, the circle charm with Give A Hoot, and the stem with Walk in my Garden. The flowers are from a big canister of Prima flowers. I've been using these flowers on a lot of things lately and haven't even put a dent in that container.

Cricutters Anonymous 33 and Mojo Monday 135

The challenge at Cricutters Anonymous this week is to make a Spring card so I used the Mojo Monday sketch and this is what I came up with. These cute patterned papers are from a K & Company mat pad called "Citronella". I used George to cut the flowers, WIMG to cut the stems, Just Because to cut the white shaped mat and Give a Hoot to cut the scalloped charm. I love the way this turned out...these color are so bright and happy.

Paper Cutz Challenge #29

The Paper Cutz Challenge for this week is to make a "Get Well" card. I used my new Walk in my Garden cartridge. I got the idea for this card from this super cute floral paper in the K and Company Carolyn Gavin Greenhouse paper pad. I thought the "button flower" matched well so I just used colors that coordinated with that paper. I am so pleased with the way it came out.

I am having so much fun with this card making....I am not usually very crafty but this is lots of fun.
