Bic Mark It Review and Giveaway!

Hi Guys!  I am so excited to let you guys know that I have been given the opportunity to try out the Bic Mark It permanent markers.  I received a complete set which includes 36 fine and 36 ultra fine.
They come in a beautiful array of colors and I just love the plastic case.  It folds open to make it so easy to find the color your looking for.

When I am mailing out a card I like for my handwritten message on the inside to match the design.  These ultra fine markers worked beautifully and wrote very smoothly on the cardstock.  With so many colors, I will always be able to make sure everything matches perfectly!

I decided to try the markers out on some of the digital images that I have been collecting on blog hops.
First, I colored this cute little elephant.  I used the fine tip for this and just love how well the ink covered.
I love the way this turned out.  I'm not an expert at coloring but there is some information on the Bic website about blending with these markers.  I'm definitely going to find out more about that.

I colored this tulip image next.  I think this turned out so pretty, probably the best coloring I've done.

Bic has been so generous, not only did they send me this set to try out but I get to give away 3 complete sets of these awesome markers to 3 of you guys.  Each set will include 36 fine tip and 36 ultra fine.  Wow!  I'm so excited.

Here is what you need to do....make sure you are a follower of my blog and leave a comment on this post.  I will select a winner on Wednesday, November 24th.  You must be a U.S resident to be elegible to win.

Paper Playtime #25

Hi everyone!  I hope you all had a great weekend.  I'd like to welcome all of the new followers and say "thank you" for all the sweet comments on the Blog Hop this weekend.  This week the challenge at Paper Playtime is P.S. I Love You.  You can interpret this any way you like...you could use a technique you love, make a card or gift for someone you love, etc.  I decided to use this adorable paper I got recently from Joann.com.  I'm pretty sure this is from last year and I was so excited to see it was still available and on sale!

I used my Gypsy to weld two of these shaped mats together from Lacy Labels and then cut a smaller one for the patterned paper mat.  This frog paper matches the Create A Critter frog perfectly.  I cut him out of the green polka dot pattern paper which was on the reverse of this page.  I cut the heart from Give a Hoot and used my Scrappy Moms stamps Amusing Animals set for the sentiment.  And of course, I had to add a bow from this sheer ribbon....I LOVE this ribbon.

So Many Mini Albums Blog Hop

Hi everyone!  Welcome to the So Many Mini Albums Blog Hop!  Mary at CardzTV is our host and she has twelve super creative ladies lined up to show you some awesome mini albums.  I was so excited to be invited.  Here is a list of all the blogs in order.
 Drew
 Corri - You Are Here
Janis
Raven
Gale
Sue
This is my first mini album and I could not wait to get started.   My twins are 8 already and I am way behind on their photo albums so I wanted to do a school themed mini.  This album will give them a look back at their school days all in one place. I started out with a pack of 6 x 9 manila envelopes from the dollar store.  I trimmed off the flap so that my "pocket" would be 6"h x 6-1/2"w.

I cut 14 pieces of 6"h x 6-1/2"w pattern paper for the Grade School Stack from DCWV.  I glued these sheets to both sides of the trimmed envelope.  I used my Gypsy to cut the tag from page 32 from Tags, Bags, Boxes and More.  I deselected the aspect ratio link to make the size 6.04 x 7.40.  I used hide contours to hide the existing slot and used the Crop o Dile to punch a hole for my ribbon. This tag fits inside the envelope "pocket" to create a space for additional pictures and journaling.

I wanted to show you all the pages without pasting a ton of pictures, so I did a slide show.  If anyone is interested in more of the details like the sizes that I cut the embellishments, just let me know.  I used Simply Charmed and Doodlecharms for the cuts.  I also used a few school themed stickers from my stash.

Wow!  That is the longest post ever!  If you are still here, I have some Blog Candy.
Please leave a comment and way for me to get a hold of you.  I will use Random.org to draw a winner on Monday, November 15.
Thanks for stopping by, click here to see what Janis has created for you.

Cocoa Warms the Heart - Momo's Tuesday Challenge

Hey Guys!  I wanted to share a card I made using the Winter Frolic cartridge and the Scrappy Moms Stamps set Winter Wishes.  I just received a bunch of paper that I ordered from Joann's.  You have to watch their clearance section....I got 12 x 12 paper stacks from DCWV for $5.99 and 4 x 6 mat stacks for $2.99.   They also had a coupon for free shipping so I got 5 12" x 12" stacks and 3 mat stacks and now I
an in paper heaven.

I am entering this one in Momo's Tuesday challenge.  She wants to see some embossing on your project.

Paper Playtime #24 - You Rock!

****Click HERE for my CSN Stores Giveaway.....ends Friday****

This week's challenge at Paper Playtime is "You Rock".  I decided to use my Rock Princess cartridge.  I've had this one for a while but haven't used it much.  There are so many "rockin'" images on there I had a hard time choosing one but I finally decided on this cute skull with a bow.  So cute.  I love the heart eyes.

The "Girls Rock" is also from Rock Princess.  I picked up this paisley paper at Big Lots a while back. It's Fiskars, Heidi Grace Designs.    I thought it worked perfect with the colors for the image.  The skull is cut at 3"h and the "Girls Rock" is cut at .75 (I think).  Click here to head on over to Paper Playtime to play along with us this week and to see what inspiration the other Queens have for you.

This One's For You....Smiley Cards

****To enter the CSN Stores giveaway click HERE*****

I spent some more time today playing with the new Smiley Cards.  I love this cartridge...there are so many cute cuts on there...and I haven't even started playing with the cards and envelopes yet.  I only wish there was a digital handbook available (maybe one is in the works...fingers crossed).  I just love looking at the images in the handbook before I decide what to cut....I sometimes have hard time "seeing" the image on the Gypsy.

I cut the mug at 3-1/2" and added some MS glitter.  This card is super simple but I think it turned out cute.  That's one thing about the images on this cart., they all go together really quick and are easy to layer.   The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms Stamps set  For the Boys.
